What is the MPC Pilot Program?
The HONE Mental Performance Check-in (MPC) Pilot is a 3-month guided experience designed to help athletes strengthen their mental resilience - while giving parents the insight and connection they've been craving.
With weekly digital check-ins, real-time insights, and the support of certified mental wellness experts, your athlete will be better equipped to perform - in sport and in life.

Paula McQuaid
Co-Founder | In-House Research Lead
Paula is a certified psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience studying and advancing human wellness in sport. She holds a Master of Counselling from Gonzaga University and is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Paula has served as a Mental Performance Consultant with Hockey Canada’s Women’s U-18 National Team, contributing to multiple IIHF World Championship medals. At HONE, she leads research and innovation, translating evidence-based insight into practical tools that strengthen mental readiness across sport systems.

Jessica Renney
Co-Founder | Growth & Strategy
Jessica is a certified psychotherapist and sport performance leader dedicated to advancing mental readiness in high-performance environments. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria, and is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. With deep roots in elite sport, Jessica leads HONE’s strategic growth and partnerships, helping organizations embed mental wellness as a foundational pillar of performance.

Caity Kidd
Client Success Manager
Caity holds a Master of Social Work with extensive experience supporting youth and families in treatment and school-based settings. With a strong foundation in adolescent development and resilience-building, she brings a grounded, athlete-centered approach to advancing mental readiness in sport. A former varsity rugby athlete with the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns and Team Canada AFL competitor, Caity understands high-performance environments firsthand and is passionate about helping athletes feel supported, confident, and prepared to perform.

Program Details
Pilot Duration: February – May (4 months)
Cost: $35 per athlete (for entire pilot)
Check-Ins: Survey is open at 8am every Tuesday to 11am Wednesday
Includes:
- 7 Mental Readiness Metrics
- 2 Strength-Based Reflection Prompts
- Optional "Reach Out" feature for additional support (activating in February)
